Our Story
Tactic Physical Therapy was founded with a simple mission: to provide the kind of care that actually works. After years of seeing patients frustrated with the traditional model, rushed appointments, generic protocols, and minimal therapist interaction, we knew there had to be a better way.
That's why every session at Tactic PT is a full 60 minutes of 1-on-1 time with your Doctor of Physical Therapy. No aides, no distractions, just focused attention on your recovery.
Based in West Jordan, Utah, we specialize in sports physical therapy, orthopedic rehabilitation, and ACL recovery. Whether you're an elite athlete or someone who just wants to hike pain-free, we're here to help you get back to the activities you love.

Lien Trumpy
Co-Founder | PT, DPT, OCS
Lien was born and raised in Utah and graduated from Bingham High School in 2002. She attended the University of Utah, receiving a Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sports Science and then went on to complete her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Diego in 2013.
She furthered her education by becoming an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association in 2016, and is also IASTM certified. Dr. Trumpy has experience working in the orthopedic, home health and skilled nursing settings, however, her passion is treating young athletes rehabbing from ACL surgery and other sports injuries.
Her love and drive is to assist patients to reach their full functional potential allowing them to enjoy life! Lien has always had a love of sports and played competitive basketball and soccer her whole life. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids. Go Utes!
Garrett Trumpy
Co-Founder | PT, DPT, OCS
Dr. Trumpy grew up in Northern California, where he received his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Biology from the University of California, Davis. He met Lien while attending the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, where he also earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2013.
Garrett has experience working in busy outpatient clinics in Northern California, San Diego, and the greater Salt Lake City region. His interest for orthopedics drove him to become an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association. His primary areas of focus include rehabilitation of shoulder, knee, and low back injuries.
Similar to Lien, he enjoys the challenge of helping guide any individual back to optimal function, whether that be on the playing field, at work, or in their home. Garrett is an avid basketball fan who still participates in recreational basketball and soccer leagues, and recently participated in his first half marathon. He is excited to serve the greater Salt Lake community.
